On collective kickback

Collective Kickback: This November, we held our first Collective Kickback: five sessions built around processing current events and past experiences through our own unfiltered, undefined perspectives. Each session had a different theme, ranging from radical Community Safety to interpersonal vulnerability, all to collectively show that when we build neighborhood trust, we are unbound, brilliant, and complete. Healing and growing is work, so we believed the young people should get compensated for it too; we paid 10 young people from YEAH! Philly $150 to lead these conversations with us and provide honest and critical feedback on how we can continue to grow. So much of what we learned here will inform our Restorative Community Project.
